Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a hydraulic type mold clamping device reduced in the pressure loss of a check valve and capable of obtaining mold clamping action immediately after the driving of a movable plate.
CONSTITUTION: A piston cylinder mechanism for mold clamping and the auxiliary device for driving a movable plate 4 are provided. The pressure receiving areas of oil pressure chambers 14, 15 demarcated on both sides by the piston part 12 of the piston cylinder mechanism for mold clamping are made equal and the oil pressure chambers 14, 15 are allowed to communicate each other through a pilot operation check valve 48 and a communication oil passage 45. The pilot operation check valve 48 is formed from the poppet 67 provided to the oil passage 61 in the flange of a mold clampling cylinder 13. When pilot pressure acts on the poppet 67, the poppet 67 is seated on a seat 68 to cut off an oil passage 65.
