Abstract:

To provide a hydride complex which has low rare element content, is lightweight and from/in which a large quantity of hydrogen can be released/absorbed at relatively low temperature and to provide a hydrogen storage material.

The hydride complex comprises Mg(BH4)2 and Mg(NH2)2. The hydrogen storage material is obtained by releasing the whole or a part of the hydrogen contained in the hydride complex. The hydride complex shown by (Mg(BH4)2+xMg(NH2)2 (1/3x3.0)) is preferably used.
