Abstract:
To clarify the characteristics of a hydrocarbon fuel suitable as a fuel for producing hydrogen, and to provide a method for producing such the fuel at a low cost.
This hydrocarbon fuel for producing the hydrogen preferably has an aromatic content of 0 vol.%, an olefin content of 0 vol.%, a sulfur content of ≤1 ppm, a 5% recovered temperature of ≥25°C, a 95% recovered temperature of ≤250°C, a hydrogen/carbon atom ratio (H/C ratio) of ≥1.9, a really existing gum content of ≤1 mg/100 mL, and a branched aliphatic hydrocarbon content of 50 to 80 wt.%. Such the hydrocarbon fuel for producing hydrogen can be produced through a process for isomerizing a hydrocarbon oil.
