Abstract:
To provide a hydroelectric power generation device capable of raising and lowering a water wheel even in heavy rain or the like and suppressing an increase in electric power consumption.SOLUTION: A hydroelectric power generation device 100 includes a water wheel 10 that rotates by using the power of water flowing through a water channel 1, an electric generator 11 that generates electric power by using the rotational force of the water wheel 10, and a lifting device 5 that raises and lowers the water wheel 10 in the water channel 1. Further, the hydroelectric power generation device 100 includes a water level sensor 6 for detecting a water level in the water channel 1, a flow velocity sensor 7 for detecting a flow velocity of water in the water channel 1, and a control device 8 for controlling drive torque of the lifting device 5. The control device 8 sets the drive torque so that it increases as the water level increases, and sets the drive torque so that it increases as the flow velocity increases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
