Abstract:
To provide a hydrogel which can be used under an environment of a concentrated aqueous electrolyte.SOLUTION: A hydrogel contains a high polymer matrix and water, the high polymer matrix includes: a single functionality monomer A as an arbitrary component having a carboxyl group and one ethylenic unsaturated group; a single functionality monomer B having at least one base selected from a sulfone group and a phosphate group and one ethylenic unsaturated group; and a copolymer of a polyfunctional monomer having two to six ethylenic unsaturated groups. A mol ratio (Ma/Mb) of a mol number (Ma) of the carboxyl group in the copolymer and a mol number (Mb) of a total of the sulfone group and the phosphate group is 0 to 8.0. By the hydrogel for an alkaline battery, in which the hydrogel contains the high polymer matrix of 2 to 80 pts.mass in the 100 pts.mass, and contains the water of 20 to 98 pts.mass, the problem is solved.SELECTED DRAWING: None
