Title:
HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3228887
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen and oxygen generator which hardly produces a pressure difference between the anode and cathode compartments of a solid electrolytic membrane unit and rarely damages or deteriorates the membrane, even when the unit is operated under a low current condition.
SOLUTION: The pure water produced by a pure water producing unit A is kept at about the same pressure as the pressure in the anode compartment of an electrolytic cell 1 to maintain the solubility of gaseous oxygen at a high level and supplied to an anode compartment, the solubility of the gaseous oxygen discharged from the anode compartment in water is kept high even in a low-current operation, the amt. of gaseous oxygen dissolved in water is maintained low in an oxygen separating tank 5, and the pressure in the anode compartment is not lowered.
