To provide a hydrogenated copolymer for vibration-damping material, excellent in mold-processability, enabling further light weight, and also excellent in vibration-damping and sound insulation performance, and an asphalt vibration-damping material composition.
This hydrogenated copolymer for the vibration damping material (A) obtained by hydrogenating a non-hydrogenated random copolymer containing a conjugated diene monomer unit and a vinyl aromatic monomer unit is provided by having the following characteristics (1) to (4); (1) the peak molecular weight measured by GPC is 40,000 to 400,000 based on a standard polystyrene, (2) the content of the vinyl aromatic monomer unit contained in the (A) is in 20 to 80 wt.% range, (3) the vinyl-bonded amount of the non-hydrogenated polymer consisting of the conjugated diene monomer unit in the (A) is 40%, and (4) in the dynamic viscoelastic spectrum obtained in association with the (A), at least one peak of loss tangent coefficient (tan) presents in -40 and 70C range.
