Abstract:

To provide a hysteresis motor having a stator yoke which employs a soft magnetic stainless steel plate having excellent AC magnetic characteristics equal to or more than that of an electromagnetic soft iron or a cold rolled steel sheet even at a commercial frequency level of 50-60 Hz and having press-moldability to the stator yoke.

The hysteresis motor is provided with a rotor 6 made of a semi-hard magnetic material and a stator generating a rotary magnetic field affecting the rotor. As stator yokes 3, 4, 7 configuring the stator of the hysteresis motor together with an excitation coil 5, an Fe-Cr-based soft magnetic stainless steel plate is employed which has a constitution containing 95% ferrite phase, 50 /cm electric resistivity and a thickness t satisfying (3): t0.23f1/2, where a used frequency is f(kHz).
