PURPOSE: To provide a color enlarger which is a large-sized color enlarger provided with an automatic focusing variable power device capable of enlarging in a wide area from a large-sized negative to a small-sized negative and easy to exchange a cable, the wiring being capable cable of a head part, etc., through the inside of a harness cover freely attached/detached to/from the outside surface of the column of an enlarger by making the dustproof cover of the driving mechanism for a head part and a lens part of a flexible plate member and attaching/detaching the dustproof cover without restriction by the height of the ceiling of a chamber for installation.

CONSTITUTION: A head substrate 5 on which a light source part 7 and the head part 8 are mounted and a lens substrate 6 on which an enlarging lens 10 is mounted are provided so as to freely/vertically move along the column 2 and a driving mechanism for the vertical movement is disposed in a part between the columns 2. The dustproof cover 12 covering the driving mechanism is made of the flexible plate material and freely attachably/detechably provided between the columns 2. On the other hand, harnesses 11a and 11b that the cables connected to the head part 8 and the lens part are bundled pass through the harness cover 11 freely attachably/detachably provided on the outside surface of the column 2.
