Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of a hollow-fiber membrane, to provide flexibility to the capacity and to make the device compact by forming the device with a bioreactor, a solid-liq. separation tank, a bundle of hollow-fiber membranes, an intermittent sucking means, a timer for setting the suction time and a means for returning the liq. concentrate in the separation tank to the bioreactor. CONSTITUTION:Organic sewage is introduced into bioreactor 3 and mixed with activated sludge to obtain a liq. mixture 5, air is supplied to a diffuser pipe 6 at the bottom from an aeration blower 7, hence the org. matter in the sewage is adsorbed on an aerobe floc, oxidized and decomposed, and the sewage is purified. The treated water contg. activated sludge is sent to a solid-liq. separation tank 12 by a pump 9, and sucked into a suction chamber 14 through the micropores of a hollow-fiber membrane. 13. The sucked liq. is drawn off from a water pipe 18 as treated water, and the liq. concentrate not sucked by the membrane is returned to the bioreactor 3 through a water pipe 15. A suction device 16 is intermittently operated by an intermittent timer 17 to control the flow rate of the water permeated.
