Abstract:
The subject matter of the invention is a device for removing pneumatic motor vehicle tyres, composed of a rotationally driven holding element for clamping tight a wheel rim and of a pressing-off device, mounted on a stand, for pressing off the tyre beads from the rim flange, which device has two arms which are guided on a column by means of sliding bushings and can be transversely displaced with respect to one another by motor, which arms are coupled by their rear ends to the sliding bushings so as to be swivellable by motor and at whose front free ends in each case one pressing-on element is mounted which engages on a tyre wall next to the rim flange. According to the invention, the two arms (28, 29) are constructed so as to be telescopic and adjustable in length. A linear drive (31, 32) is mounted approximately parallel above or below each telescopic arm (28, 29), the adjustment element (34) of said linear drive (31, 32) bearing a coupling element (35, 36) which automatically engages with the extendable inner component (39, 40) of the respective telescopic arm (28, 29) when the linear drive (31, 32) is actuated.
