Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an optimum swirl ratio in each operating condition.
CONSTITUTION: A swirl control valve 14 with a cutout 15 is fixed to a cylinder shaft 11. A center shaft 12 piercing the cylinder shaft 11 is provided, and an auxiliary valve 17 for controlling the opening area of the cutout 15 is fixed to the center shaft 12. The swirl control valve 14 is thereby closed by the rotation of the cylinder shaft 11 to generate swirl by the cutout 15, while the auxiliary valve 17 is rotated by the center shaft 12 at this time to control the opening area of the cutout 15, thus changing a swirl ratio.
