Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a translucent laminated polyester film having shading properties, smoothness and slip properties suitable for a base film for a magnetic tape.

CONSTITUTION: A laminated film is obtained by laminating a polyester film not substantially containing titanium dioxide to at least the single surface of a polyester film containing 3-20wt.% of titanium dioxide treated with at least one kind of org. matter selected from a polyol compd., an alkanolamine compd. and a silicone compd. The ten-score average roughness (Rz) of the surface of the film not substantially containing titanium dioxide is 0.10μm or less and the light transmissivity (T%) at 900nm of the whole of the laminated film is 10-60%.
