Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an ink composition which can give a transfer paper by the use of which multicolor transfer can be performed at a relatively low temperature in a single operation by mixing an epoxy resin with two specified epoxy resin curing agents having different reaction temperatures. CONSTITUTION:This printing ink composition for transfer papers essentially consists of an epoxy resin, a first curing agent which can cure the epoxy resin by reaction at room temperature (e.g. diethylenetriamine) and a second curing agent which can cure the epoxy resin by reaction at 80-200 deg.C(e.g. dicyandiamide). Desirably, this composition further contains a colorant, a thermochromic composition, etc. The transfer paper is obtained by forming a water-soluble paste layer 2 on a release paper 1, forming pattern layers 3 and 4 comprising the above composition on the paste layer 2, and forming a coating layer 5 comprising a silicone resin or the like on the pattern layers 4 and 5.
