PURPOSE: To obtain a card which can be certified by an unattended card treating machine, and Is difficult of forgery and counterfeit, and provide a method of certification thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The card Is composed of being laminated, at least on a part of the card foundation material 1, with at least an infrared ray absorptive or reflective ink print 5, a concealing layer 3 which substantially permits an infrared ray and not permit a visible ray to be passed therethrough, and a Lippman type hologram layer 4 In the order from the card foundation material 1 side, wherein certification is performed in a manner lightning an infrared ray via the hologram layer 4 and concealing layer 3, and reflecting it by the surface of the card foundation material 1 and print 5, and detecting light coming out again in passing through the concealing layer 3 and hologram layer 4 by an infrared ray detector 6. Furthermore, it is conducted through the identification of the card by reading out patterns such as marks, characters, code recorded by the print 5.
