PURPOSE: To facilitate the changing operation of continuous paper and the setting operation to a printer by a method wherein the starting end of the continuous paper, which is provisionally seated in a paper provisionally seating member, is pulled up through the opening part of a top plate and, after that, set to the printer.

CONSTITUTION: Under the condition that a paper box 11 is pushed into a position A, the portion of a starting end 16, which is caught on a paper provisionally seating bar 13, of continuous paper is pulled up by a hand inserted from above through the rear opening 10 of a top plate 2. Next, the continuous paper is inserted in a printer 8 on the top plate 2 from the rear of the printer and then set so as to fall down the starting end 16 delivered from the printer 8 into a paper receiving bos 15. Thus, the changing of the continuous paper 14 can be performed simply or the changing of paper is facilitated. Further, the paper box 11 needs not to have a special structure mounted between slide rails 7 and 7 but to have a structure, which is only placed on the slide rails 7 and 7 simply under the state that a shelf plate is spanned between the upper front half parts of the rails.
