PURPOSE: To hold an access-enabled process state desiring communication with a mobile device by using the agent with a related application program by a mobile computer.
CONSTITUTION: A user 34 exists inside a cell 30 and holds a tab 26. The tab 26 of the user displays the result of a current position program continuously showing the position of the user inside the job site. This program is executed while being resident on a remote host. The tab 26 inside the cell 30 communicates with this program and processes it through a wireless link based on an infrared transceiver 16. When the user 34 gets out of the cell 30, that user enters a dead zone and the network communication with the tab 26 is cut off. When the user 34 enters a communication cell 32, concerning that connection, the new position of the user 34 is updated inside the network, and that information is sent to a continuously executed position search program and updated. As a result, the program communicates with the tab 26 through the infrared link of the network.
