PURPOSE: To provide an automatic rice cooker which enables further automation of rice cooking work than in the past by achieving automating of rice washing work.

CONSTITUTION: A water supply means K is attached to a water supply path 7 making the inside of a rice cooker body communicate with the outside thereof 1 to supply water into an inner pot 3 of the body 1 of the rice cooker. A drain means H is attached to a drain path 9 making the inside of the body 1 of the rice cooker communicate with the outside thereof to discharge the water in the inner pot 3 of the body 1 of the rice cooker. A control means S is linked electrically to the water supply means K and the drain means H to control the operation thereof. An agitation means P is arranged on the water supply path 7 extending into the inner pot 3 from the side of a lid 2 of the body 1 of the rice cooker to stir up the water in the inner pot 3 under a pressure of the water being supplied from the water supply means K. An energization means F is linked to the agitation means P and the lid 2. The energization means F functions to reduce the agitation means P to the side of the lid 2 from the inside of the inner pot 3 during the stoppage of the water supply from the water supply means K.
