Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IPM type electric rotary machine of low cost and high energy density by implementing high-efficiency and high-quality rotational drive while reducing the amount of permanent magnets to be used.SOLUTION: An IPM type electric rotary machine 10 comprises a rotor 12 in which permanent magnets 16 are embedded in a V shape, and a stator 11 for housing the rotor, in which the number of slots for each pole and each phase is 2. In the case where the permanent magnets are present to a d-axis side, each of the permanent magnets within a range where a magnet magnetic flux is generated in a direction to cancel an armature magnetic flux at the d-axis side, is replaced with a flux barrier 17c of a small-permeability void. The flux barrier 17c is formed to distribute an armature magnetic flux Ψr coming from a q-axis side in a corner 17cq4 between a q-axis side extension surface 17cq1 and a q-axis side parallel surface 17cq2 and meets 1.5
