Abstract:
To obtain an IC card issuing system with high security for issuing an IC card.SOLUTION: In an IC card issuing system, an IC card includes authentication processing means by a secret sharing method, and the authentication processing means stores a first type of distributed data of secret data for authentication and an encryption authentication template; a host computer includes authentication processing means by a secret sharing method, and the authentication processing means stores a second type of distributed data of the secret data for authentication and a template for encryption authentication; and the host computer and the IC card transmit the distributed data to authentication processing means of the other party, and the authentication is performed by the other party by restoring the secret data for authentication from the distributed data to the authentication processing means of the other party.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
