To provide an identification factor selection device that can select a set of identification factors minimizing the number of dimensions while maximizing an identification rate.
The identification factor selection device includes a first search part which regards information showing a set of identification factors used for identification among a plurality of identification factors for identifying which group a sample belongs to as a chromosome, regards an identification rate of identification using an identification factor that the chromosome indicates as adaptability, and searches for a set of identification factors maximizing the identification rate using genetic algorithm, and a second search part which searches for a set of identification factors minimizing the number of identification factors in use by using the chromosome indicating the set of identification factors searched for by the first search part and a chromosome indicating that all the identification factors are not used, and also using genetic algorithm while regarding the number of identification factors as adaptability.
