Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idle stop control device for an engine capable of achieving idle stop control according to an intention of a driver.SOLUTION: An ECU 20 performs control for automatically stopping an engine 30 of a vehicle at predetermined timing when preset stand-by time is elapsed after the vehicle has stopped. The ECU 20, based on a throttle operation different from a normal throttle operation being performed by a driver between the stop of the vehicle and the elapse of the stand-by time, controls so that stop timing of the engine 30 is delayed to the timing later than the predetermined timing. Also, the ECU 20, based on a rear brake release operation being performed by the driver between the stop of the vehicle and the elapse of the stand-by time, controls so as to stop the engine 30 immediately.
