Abstract:
An illuminance estimation device (100) comprises: cameras (101-110) which are mounted to an own vehicle (111) and capture images of regions directly or indirectly illuminated by the light of the sun (200); a communication unit (112, 113) which acquires vehicle information including at least a current position of the own vehicle, a current direction of the own vehicle, and current date and time; and an estimation unit (115) which acquires the images from the cameras, acquires the vehicle information from the communication unit, and estimates a current position of the sun and the illuminance in a periphery of the own vehicle on the basis of the images and the vehicle information.
