To provide an illumination device adapted to be thinned and miniaturized.
An illumination device 10 includes a substrate 1, a first illumination section 2 emitting first illumination light, and a second illumination section 3 emitting second illumination light in an area narrower than the first illumination section 2. The first illumination section 2 has a sheet-like light guide 12 along one side surface 1a of the substrate 1 and a first light source getting the first illumination light in such a way that light is introduced to the light guide 12 and transmitted in the surface direction. The second illumination section 3 has a second light source 13 mounted in the one side surface 1a of the substrate 1 and an optical path changing section 14 making light from the second light source 13 as the second illumination light by directing it in the inclination direction. The optical path changing section 14 has a light concentrating element 21 narrowing a light emitting area. The light concentrating element 21 is a Fresnel lens and is arranged by shifting an optical axis AX1 in a direction corresponding to the inclination direction with respect to an optical axis AX2 of the second light source 13 in such a way that it is positioned along the substrate 1.
