Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier unit which obtains a sure and stable contact state with an abutting member, is excellent in durability and handleability and is surely driven.
SOLUTION: A thin cylindrical image carrier 140 having flexibility is supported by a pair of disk-like members attached rotatably with respect to a shaft 110 which does not rotate by itself, and a backup drum 150 attached to the shaft 110 on the inside of the carrier 140 and supporting the image carrier 140 at the abutting position, where a cleaning member 210 and an electrifying roller 220 abut on the image carrier 140 from the outside, from the inside is provided rotatably with respect to the shaft 110 by an eccentric bearing 154.
