PURPOSE: To provide an image copying device by which many sheets of an identical original can be copied at a high speed when it is executed while the merit of a digital system is kept and a high-quality copied matter can be obtained.
CONSTITUTION: The device is constituted of a read and storage part, a master sheet supply part, an image writing and exposure part, a photosensitive paper supply part and a developing and ejection part. A thermosensible recording film 3 obtained by providing a thermosensible recording material which is colored or decolored when it is heated to specified temperature and which can be repeatedly colored or decolored on a flexible substrate is used as a master sheet. An original plate is obtained by winding the film 3 round a glass drum 9 once and writing the image by a thermal head 12. After it is exposed by a light source 8 and a latent image is formed on a photosensitive paper 17, it is developed by a developing unit 21. After the developing, the image on the film 3 is erased by a heat roll 13 and the film 3 is used for forming the next image.
