Abstract:
To provide an image diagnosis catheter that is easy to hold and is capable of reducing a workload.SOLUTION: An image diagnosis catheter 100 comprises a catheter shaft 110 and a branch section 120 provided for a base end thereof. The catheter shaft is provided with a guide wire lumen 113, into which a guide wire W is freely insertable, and accommodates a drive shaft 114, which is separated from the guide wire lumen, so as to be freely movable forward/backward. The branch section branches into two parts at the base end of the catheter shaft, with an insertion opening 122 communicating with the guide wire lumen being formed for a branch destination 121 of one of the two parts, and a base end side of the drive shaft extending to a branch destination 123 of the other of the two parts. Also, the image diagnosis catheter comprises a handle 160 at the branch section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
