To reduce the work burdens on an operator for pixel shift processing for reducing motion artifacts mainly attributable to the body movement of a subject generated when performing subtraction processing between images before and after injecting a contrast medium.
The image diagnostic apparatus 10 is equipped with: a photographing part 2 for generating mask images and contrast images before and after injecting the contrast medium; an image memory 15 for storing the mask image and the contrast image; an ROI identifying part 19 for setting the region of interest from the mask image and the contrast image; a pixel shift amount detection part 20 for detecting an amount of pixel shift between the mask image and the contrast image localizing in the region of interest; and processing parts 21 and 22 for shifting at least one of the mask image and the contrast image and performing subtraction according to the detected amount of the pixel shift.
