Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently perform the reading work of a large number of originals by registering image data read in single action by an image scanner by providing a page division designation device and a controller and dividing the data into plural pages. CONSTITUTION:When a page division command is issued from an operating part 12, a main controller 11 supplies a division mode signal to a data separation circuit 2 and a memory control circuit 4. And the output of the image scanner 1 is sent to the circuit 2, and an OFF period is provided in an intermediate part by inserting invalid data (f) between two originals by original image data (f), then, it is supplied to an encoder circuit 3. At the encoder circuit 3, two original data are assumed as separated data of one line, and compression encoding is applied on respective data, separately. And the circuit 3 delivers encoded data to the memory control circuit 4 at every completion of the encoding of one line. The circuit 4 stores the data of one line from the circuit 3 in two separate areas in a memory 5 at every one line by a page division mode signal from the controller 11.
