PURPOSE: To improve reproduction of a negative original light image to the positive image, by raising the potential of the area corresponding to the light area of the original light image in the static latent image to be formed.
CONSTITUTION: Photo sensitive drum 1 prepared by forming an insulating layer on a N-type photoconductive layer undergoes positive corona discharge by corona discharger 2, and destaticized by AC corona discharger 3 at the same time as imagewise exposure of the original. The following processing is not operated, and drum 1 enters the 2nd cycle, positively recharged by discharger 2, destaticized by AC discharger 3, wholly exposed with light source 4, and the static latent image with the light area in high voltage becomes developable. This latent image is developed with developing electrode 5 and an excess solution is squeezed with post charger 7. The transfer material to which the developed image is transferred is separated with separating roller 10. Drum 7 is cleaned with cleaner 11, and then, the post history is a erased with post exposure lamp 12.
