PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming apparatus in which a power source system is simplified by a method in which an image forming apparatus main body and an extension apparatus are connected, and the same power source is made to be used commonly by more than one extension apparatus with a power source bus-line connected.
CONSTITUTION: A power source bus-lines 116-1 and 116-2 having connectors 115-2, 115-3 and 115-4, 115-5 are passed. A connector 115-1 is installed in the power source 113-1 in a main body 101 and is made connectable with a power source bus-line 116-1. The power source bus lines 116-1 and 116-2 are connected through connectors 115-1-1125-4 which connect a main body and extended paper supply units 11-2 and 111-2, and power is supplied from the power source of the main body 101 to each unit.
