Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, an image formation method, and a program capable of realizing resource saving and cost reduction.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: re-printing means 154 which, when detection means 153 detects a defect in an image on a printing recording medium, controls a printer 12 to perform re-printing corresponding to image data relating to the image; and history information storage means 155 which stores in a storage medium 18 reprinting history information including the type of the defect in the image to be reprinted by the re-printing means 154 and a result of detection by the detection means 153 after the re-printing. When performing re-printing, the re-printing means 154 uses the re-printing history information stored in the storage medium 18 to determine whether or not to perform re-printing.
