Abstract:
To remove a roll sheet at an optimal timing without requiring a user to stand by unnecessarily.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 3 can form an image on a roll sheet P, and comprises: a sheet conveying unit 31 that conveys the roll sheet P placed on a conveyance path; an image forming unit 32 that forms a toner image on the roll sheet P; a fixing unit 33 that heats the roll sheet P to fix the toner image; and a control unit 6 that, when the image forming apparatus 3 is continuously used for the roll sheet P after the end of a print job, executes a conveyance and cooling mode for stopping heating of the fixing unit 33 while the roll sheet P is nipped and conveying the roll sheet P, and when the image forming apparatus 3 is not continuously used for the roll sheet P after the end of the print job, does not execute the conveyance and cooling mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
