To make it possible to produce a printed material reflecting an event participation history.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a specification unit 102 that specifies an event image included in an image of a printed material read by an image reading unit 5; an extraction unit 103 that extracts the event image specified by the specification unit 102; an HDD 92 that stores the event image; an area setting unit 104 that sets a first area and a second area in an image formable area of a new material to be printed; an image data generation unit 105 that generates image data in which the event image stored in the HDD 92 is arranged in the first area and an already-acquired new event image related to the event image is arranged in the second area; and an image forming unit 12 that forms an image on the new material to be printed by using the image data generated by the image data generation unit 105.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
