Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus for processing a character image of a document.
The image forming apparatus comprising a display means for displaying image data as a preview image on a panel screen when reading the image data of a document, and a touch pen 302 for pointing a position on the image is provided with: a character identifying means 504 for identifying character image data corresponding to a character in image data in a range specified by the touch pen 302, a character display means 506 for displaying the character image data identified by the character identifying means 504 as a preview image on the panel screen, and a processing means 507 for processing the character image data specified by the touch pen 302.
