In the image forming apparatus 1, the process cartridge 5 is removed along a guide groove formed in a frame while being separated from an LED unit 57. Accordingly, the process cartridge 5 can be removed without the need of moving the LED unit 57, and also without interfering with the LED unit 57. The process cartridge 5 is integrally formed with a paper feeding unit 4 including a paper feeding roller 41 and a separation roller 42, etc. Consequently, while the front cover 2A is opened and a cassette 3 is detached from a housing 2, the process cartridge 5 can be removed without interfering with the cassette 3 and the paper feeding unit 4.
