Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to clean a conveyance belt at a third speed, which is lower than a first speed and higher than a second speed, when a print job is to be executed immediately after cleaning the conveyance belt, in silent mode.SOLUTION: In silent mode, an image forming section 10 is to execute a print job immediately after cleaning a conveyance belt 15, a belt drive motor M is rotated during the cleaning, at a third speed which is lower than a first speed and higher than a second speed. The belt drive motor M is rotated at the third speed, to complete cleaning of the conveyance belt 15 in a shorter time than a case where the belt drive motor M is rotated at the second speed.
