Abstract:

To provide an image forming apparatus that can convey a sheet alternately to a first inversion unit and a second inversion unit regardless of the length of the sheet to improve productivity in double-sided printing.SOLUTION: An engine control unit has, in a double-sided printing job, a first mode of conveying a first sheet on which an image is formed on a first surface to one of a first inversion roller pair and a second inversion roller pair, and then conveying a second sheet fed by a pick-up roller to the other of the first inversion roller pair and second inversion roller pair subsequent to the first sheet, before the first sheet is guided on a first double-sided conveyance path and conveyed to an image forming unit again.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
