To provide an image forming device that is made to solve the problem, when designation of an image forming parameters are executed separately by a plurality of times, and to provide a contention control program.

It is supposed that a discrepancy occurs between the image forming parameter designated by an image forming data body and that of designated by a communication header, when image formation is instructed from a host terminal 10. More specifically, this is the case such as where three copies are designated in the data body, and two copies are designated in the header. When there is contention in the designation of the numbers of copies, and when the numbers of copies contradict each other in this a manner, the common two copies are outputted, as they are, and an inquiry regarding the remaining one copy is made to a user so as to determine whether to output or cancel the remaining one copy, on the basis of the inquiry result.
