Abstract:
To provide a conveyance object detection device which can maintain the accuracy of position detection in the orthogonal direction to the conveyance direction of a conveyance object even when an image is formed on the surface being the detection object of the conveyance object.SOLUTION: A conveyance object detection device 100 includes: a head unit 101 which performs processing to a conveyed conveyance object P; a detection unit 103 which detects surface information on the surface of the conveyance object in a prescribed cycle; a timing setting unit 320 which sets an output take-in period being a period in which the detection result of the detection unit is used for the control on the basis of the image data of the image formed on the conveyance object; and a control unit 340 which performs control of the head unit on the basis of the detection result output in the output take-in period out of the detection results of the detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
