Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus and an image position adjustment method that, even when the accuracy of cutting a paper bundle used for printing is not sufficient, can obtain a good printing result in which positional deviation of images between sheets is small after cutting in a post process.SOLUTION: According to an image forming apparatus, a control unit has, as an operation mode of image position adjustment, a first adjustment mode for adjusting the position of an image printed on a sheet by an image forming unit before printing and a second adjustment mode for adjusting the position of the image printed on the sheet by the image forming unit during the printing. During the operation in the second adjustment mode, the control unit restricts execution of at least magnification adjustment, of adjustment items executed in the first adjustment mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
