To provide an image forming device by which a printing job is efficiently performed by performing the shifting processing of processing conditions for the changeover of an image forming mode in a short time.
The image forming device, which has plural image forming modes and forms images under the processing conditions suitable to respective modes, comprises a reception means 61 to receive the requirement of the image forming, a detection means 63 to detect the changeover of the image forming mode by previously analyzing the requirement of the image forming received by the reception means 61 and a processing condition control means 62 to perform the shifting processing to the processing condition suitable for the image forming mode for a next job in the timing without affecting the job processed at present before the completion of the job processed at present at the time of detecting that the changeover of a mode is performed by the detection means 63.
