Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce deformation of and damage to a belt unit and a detection unit.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an apparatus body that has a main body frame; a belt unit that is movable between a first position and a second position; and a detection unit that is movably supported by the main body frame and detects a toner image transferred to a belt. The detection unit moves relative to the main body frame in conjunction with a movement operation of the belt unit moving from the first position to the second position so as not to inhibit the movement of the belt unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
