Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the staining of transfer means caused by a seam of an image carrier belt.
SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with an image carrier belt having the seam S, a means forming a toner picture of plural colors in piles on the image carrier belt and a transfer means which is attachably and detachably disposed on the image carrier belt. Therein, the transfer means is abutted on a non-picture area H on the image carrier belt, at the same time, the seam S makes a transfer bias turned on at the position where the seam S passes the transfer means and makes the transfer bias turned off at the position before the seam passes the transfer means.
