PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device having multiple transfer points between a photoreceptor and a transfer drum and having the uniform transfer efficiency at individual transfer points.
CONSTITUTION: An image forming device is provided with the first electrostatic latent image carrier 2 and the second electrostatic latent image carrier 3, and a toner image formed on the first electrostatic latent image carrier 2 and a toner image formed on the second electrostatic latent image carrier 3 are transferred on a transfer material 22 conveyed by the rotation of a transfer drum 1. A charge quantity detecting means 23 detecting the charge quantity on the transfer material 22 is provided between the first transfer section and the second transfer section, and the first transfer means 7 and the second transfer means 13 are controlled by the detected result of the charge quantity detecting means 23. A discharge means is provided between the first transfer means 7 and the second transfer means 13, and the discharge means is controlled by the detected result of the charge quantity detecting means 23.
