PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device for optimizing both a conveyance correction quantity of a medium to be recorded and an end part image correction quantity.

CONSTITUTION: An image forming device comprises a means 19 for preforming test patterns having different densities on a medium to be recorded, a means 13 for reading the test patterns formed by the test pattern forming means, a means 21 for correcting a conveying quantity of the medium to be recorded, a means 14 for correcting an image data at an end part of a recording means, and a means for controlling correction quantities of a recording medium conveying quantity correcting means 21 and of the end part image data correcting means 14 according to the density of the test patterns read by the test pattern reading means 13 and density change at the boundary of the text patterns.
