To provide an image forming device capable of obtaining a sharp image by forming a sharp dot, in an image forming device for an electrophotographic copying machine, a laser beam printer, facsimile, etc.
In the image forming device having toner 46 whose charge polarity is negative, the light quantity of a PTL 27 is previously set so that the potential V1 of a toner sticking part 44 and the potential V2 of a toner nonsticking part 45, on a photoreceptor belt 1 after being irradiated with the PTL 27 satisfy a relation of V2-V1<30 (V). Thus, an electric field by which the toner 46 is scattered around is not generated or even if the electric field is generated, it is very weak, so that the sharp dot is formed without scattering the toner 46 around, to obtain the sharp image.
