Abstract:
To provide a technique that, even when temperature unevenness occurs in a heater longitudinal direction due to inclusion of members in contact with a heater, such as contact members, allows stable temperature control and can prevent the occurrence of a fixing failure.SOLUTION: In an image heating device 200 comprising: a heater 300 for heating an image formed on a recording material; a heater holding member 201 that holds the heater 300; a cylindrical film 202 that is in contact with the heater 300 on its inner surface; temperature detection elements T1-1 to T1-4, T2-5 to T2-7 for detecting the temperature of the heater 300; and contact members C1 to C7 that are in contact with the heater 300, the temperature detection elements T1-1 to T1-4, T2-5 to T2-7 are arranged in the vicinity of the positions at which the contact members C1 to C7 are in contact with the heater 300.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
