Title:
IMAGE HEATING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3919296
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce switching loss without complicating the device by adjoining a 1st coil and a 2nd coil for matching impedance between the 1st coil and a heating element and constituting them as one exciting coil.
SOLUTION: A magnetic induction heating film 1 is constituted of three layers, that is, a conductive layer la functioning as the heating body which performs magnetic induction heating, an elastic layer 1b and a mold-released layer 1c. Magnetic flux acts on the metallic layer 1a functioning as the conductive layer, so that an eddy current is generated in the layer 1a, which performs the magnetic induction heating. The exciting coil 4 is double-layer winding constitution of the 1st coil 4a and the 2nd coil 4b, and the 1st and the 2nd coils 4a and 4b are adjoined each other and wound so as to generate the magnetic flux in the same direction with respect to the metallic layer 1a of the fixing film 1. In the 2nd coil 4b whose main purpose is that leakage inductance is secured, the impedance between the 1st coil 4a and the layer 1a is matched.
