Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read an accurate pixel value stably at all times even when a read time per one pixel of an image pickup element gets shorter.
SOLUTION: In a solid-state image pickup element where electric charges stored in an exposure section, in which pixels are arranged in a matrix, are transferred to a plurality of vertical transmission paths, the electric charges transferred to the vertical transfer paths are sequentially transferred to one horizontal transfer path and then outputted, a reference region (b) existing inbetween a reset region (a) and a data region (c) for one pixel read period in the horizontal transfer path of the solid-state image pickup element is extended for read of pixel data.
